Freehand painting application.

My piece transforms the face of our utility box to resemble a Chinese lucky red envelope. It’s my way of sharing a red envelope to our community. It features dandelions- beautiful and medicinal plants that benefit our local ecosystem in countless ways. Benign, though non-native, they are often considered weeds. In transforming our utility box, I hope to transform how and what we consider “weeds” and also to consider how labels are used beyond just talking about plants.
